Caring Fairly is a campaign led by unpaid carers, and supported by a coalition of carer support organisations, NGOs and peak bodies. It is coordinated by Mind Australia, one of Australia’s leading community managed mental health service providers.
Caring Fairly was launched on 21 August, 2018 at Parliament House, Canberra, by a founding coalition of over twenty organisations.
The Caring Fairly coalition has invested in leading edge research and produced evidence based policies in eight key domains that can sustainably advance the economic, social and cultural rights of unpaid carers in Australia.
The following organisations are members of the Caring Fairly coalition:
3 Legged Challenge
Mental Health Carers Tasmania
Brain Injury Association of Tasmania
Over the next three years, Caring Fairly will lead the growing public conversation in Australia about the value we attach to unpaid carers in our communities. We will tell their stories, raise broad public awareness and consolidate support for a better deal for carers in Australia.
This coalition will raise broad public awareness and consolidate support for a better deal for carers in Australia.
